The Kingdom of God in Suva!
We’ve just returned from Suva from what has been one of the most craziest weeks that I can remember for a while. We saw so many people healed we almost lost count; and so many people were powerfully touched by the Presence of God as we travelled through the districts and from house to house.
One man was instantly healed from Denghy fever and from a serious ear problem that he has tried everything to fix….after checking with the doctor the next day, the platelets in his blood had increased from 90 back to 135 and he was able to work again. Because of that, his heart was opened to the Lord and he requested we dedicate his house to Jesus. We also saw numbers healed in the church and in many homes as we visited people there and one man with a severe stroke also had an awesome healing.
Fiji elections were last week as well so there was a lot of tension in the air, as the nations history with coups seems to be always fresh when politics is involved. We were invited to preach at a soccer tournament, at a memorial service and also at an outdoor crusade where every person who came for prayer was healed, ranging from dysfunctional backs to partial blindness, deafness and many other problems.
We were also invited to pray for one man about ninety years old who was dying. After we shared with him, prayed and sang, even though he was unable to speak, we could see he was responding in faith to Jesus for salvation and life.
We were blessed to work with a local church there who were instrumental in opening many doors for us to minister and serve and we were blessed to live, pray and serve with them. Even after this last week, so many testimonies have come through of Gods work in peoples lives. Families reconciled, bodies healed and lives touched and impacted by the love of God. Hundreds of people were ministered to on a personal level and God only knows what fruit will come from it as we have been able to sow, water and reap by His grace!
David returns to NZ on thursday after one month of serving here travelling through the nation and seeing God do so much. I will continue to stay for another three weeks as more new doors continue to open. Many thanks again to those who pray for us!
What an amazing time you guys have had in Suva! Awesome to hear what God’s doing 🙂
